I'm liking Law!!

Kanno Miho plays Haruse Kiina, an otherwise normal 29 yr old but with superhuman memory and speed-reading skills. Together with sidekick, unwilling newbie cop Yamazaki Takeru (Hiraoka Yuta), she specialises in strange cases which does not follow common logic, e.g. poltergists, curses, etc.

This is kind of like Trick, just a tad less orthodox.. hmm not much of an impression after one week, other than the styling for Miho looks a bit too.. matured?

p.s. Can I have that skill to finish the pile of books in my room?

BOSS

Osawa Eriko (Amami Yuki), having returned from a US assignment, was tasked to lead the Metropolitian Police Countermeasures Unit, a new division created to fight against the increase in atrocious crimes. Her subordinates consists of supposedly the handpicked elites from the other units, but were in fact, troublesome personnels whom the other units are trying to get rid of from their hands.



Though her capability at work is undeniable, she has problems dealing with guys romantically related to her, which is the reason she, being in her 40s, is still not settled down.



Nodate Shinjiro (KYAAA!!~~~ Takenouchi Yutaka!! *drools*), the assistant counsel who initiated the Countermeasures Unit and recruited his ex-classmate Eriko as the BOSS, is a rather carefree superior whose only work he does in the institute is flirting with the ladies in the force.

Nodate plays the comical role in the drama, and together with Eriko and her bunch of incompetent subordinates, goes about changing the image of the Countermeasures Unit from a "rubbish dump" to an elite force through solving cases that buffered even the Major Crimes Unit.



In the finale, Sorimachi Takashi appears to give the viewers a throwback to the Beach Boys days.

Oh my.. how he had aged.. compared to Yutaka.

Other than the plot focusing too much on the crime investigation/solving aspect and not the actual crime scene, this series is good, for the ikemen factor (Yutaka Yutaka Yutaka! and ermm.. Tamayama Tetsuji and Mizobata Junpei). :D

Had a bit of problem fixing this mikan trees and cabin section (again!), otherwise the rest of the ship is rather easy to setup.

An excellent paint job, with anchors etc on the deck and all.


Crew

I'm irritated by the crew thou, not the specs (the specs aint too bad), but the way they bundle the crew!! Why do they need to still include Luffy and Chopper in Vol. 2 (with Robin, Zoro & Usopp)!?! Its not cheap! And its the FREAKING SAME MODEL!! Y would I need to spend for extra 2 of the SAME figures!?!? Cant they just sell them in 4s or simply wait till all 8 and sell together!?!?! Very irritated! And Latendo will most probably only be bringing in full sets and selling as FULL SETS!! GRRRR!!!

One Piece Collection Showdown!! Pirates vs Marines!!

Set mainly depicts the scene at Marineford, with the 3 admirals in their chairs, so I could not think of a reason why Sanji, Chopper and Nami, in their respective own adventures, are included.

I would actually prefer a kneeling Ace, Sengoku and... hmm.. Edward Newgate?

One Piece Yura Colle Ship Collection Part 1

Finally they have a collection on ships only. And not just one collection. There's the Super Ships Collection which I din buy, partly bcos I don't want another Thousand Sunny, thou I pretty much want the other ships (Moby Dick, Red Force, Ace's Stryker and Mihawk's Coffin), and thankfully I din, bcos its kind of huge.

Named Yura Colle, or Wobbling, bcos it really is wobbling. Its not fixated and simply left to wobble around the slightly concaved base.



I had big problem fixing most of the ships, the most problematic being Going Merry and the Kuja Pirates' ship. The mikan trees part and the mast of the Kuja Pirates' ship wasn't staying properly and I keep using penknife to scrape some off the indents, thinking that it might be the cause. I ended up using bluetack on both. Spent half an hour on Going Merry alone.. =.="

The Kuja Pirates' ship is probably the only reason I bought this set, other than the whole set being small in size.

Super One Piece Styling ～Wanted～

I just cannot understand why do they need to include Nami and Robin in almost all sets of Stylings. To satisfy the otaku boys? Think so..

Law would be nice in this set..


Zoro & Mihawk

The 2 of them had the nicest pose here so far I've seen in the other Styling sets. Both in the midst of drawing their swords, with a stonic look on their faces.

I love the slippers and printed pants look. Part yakuza part old-fashioned, weird but somehow it looks good on him.


Katanas pack

Zoro's katanas were actually individually packed, with a cardboard each for protection against accidental bendings. Very considerate.


Mihawk

Very realistic colorings, for Mihawk and Zoro.


Nami & Robin

Ahh they just look like the other Styling sets.

Nami's always in some skimpy bikini look. They should try the Strong World ver. 2 POP version of Nami wearing a long white shirt. THAT actually looks pretty cool and actually more sexual than all-baring bikinis.


Post Gear 3 Luffy and Chopper

Another thing, Luffy also gets featured in all, if not most, Styling sets. Good thing is, they did the post Gear 3 kid version of him in this.

One Piece Portraits of Pirates - Sanji Strong Edition

I hesitated. Since it's actually similar to my Banpresto Ichibankuji version, I din preorder.

Then I was coerced. (:p) And I was thinking maybe I shld get him so that when Zoro's Strong World version arrives, I can pose the 3 of them (inc. Luffy) together..

He's gorgeous I agree. But mine had a defect on the shirt!! Dammnnn.... nvr see properly..

マイ★ボス マイ★ヒーロー

Nagase Tomoya plays Sakaki Makio, a 27 year old Yakuza Boss-in-line who is all brawns and no brains. After blotching a multi-million negotiation just bcos he couldnt do mathematic additions, his father imposes a condition on Makio that he has to graduate from a year of high school life before he passes the Boss title to him; if not, the title goes to his mentally intelligent but physically weak younger brother, Mikio.

Thus, he goes to the high school where his father got his principal friend's help to enrol him into, and poses as a 17 year old in all his youthful attitudes during school time. He saved Sakurakoji Jun (Tegoshi Yuya, aka Yukinojo of Yamato Nadeshiko, thou he resembles 朱孝天 here) from Hoshino (Wakaba Ryuya) and gangs' bullyings and ends up being pestered by the persistant Sakurakoji (Makio calls him Sakura-nantoka i.e. Sakura-something purposely)to be his friend.

As he thinks that leading a class is similar to leading a gang, Makio volunteers earnestly to be the class president. He tries his very best to gather the class together for events, building rapport and trust, and thoroughly enjoys his school life. Makio falls for Umemura Hikari (Aragaki Yui) when she lends him her lucky pencil for his exams, though after knowing that it is a crime to be involved with under-18 teens, he tries to avoid her.


Wasnt that bad but the rhythm only catches on around the 2nd half of the series. I just find the 1st half a tad too slow-paced and kind of boring, to the point that I almost want to abort the series, since seeing the overage Nagase in school uniform was quite a turnoff, and there's not much cute guys around.

Sidenote: Tanaka Koki did a good job as Makio's underling (Kazu), being abused by Makio and all, and earning him an award for his role.

Another Pinky Addition

Well.. I started out wanting to just buy a pair of earphones to replace my 2 years+ Sony Nudes which went missing from my pockets couple of weeks ago, either I dropped them outside, or I reach home and misplaced them somewhere (which I tried to find but the usual suspected places hailed nought), or like my mum say, dropped into the abyss of the washing machine (which I also probed to no avail).

And so I asked around for recommendations, expecting answers of Sonys or Audio-Technica, etc.

But I got back answers in the form of Shures, Nuforces, and researching the web brings me Klipschs. Brands which I've not heard of! Ok I've heard of Shures, but my knowledge of them is limited to that they make speakers.. and the motorcycle helmet?

Anyway, I thought an earphone is just an earphone, so long as the music is clear, the cables are not flimsy, and its an in-ear phone, they're all the same!

Nope! I went Stereo Electronics under recommendation to try out the sets, Shure SE115, Nuforce NE7, UE something and Skull Candy something, (forgot all about Klipsch..) since they're all within the range of a Sony Nude, 'cept for the Shure.

There really is a difference..

First round, UE something is a bit hollow, Skull Candy just dun have the "omph!". Nuforce leads..

Second round, Nuforce vs Shure. Nuforce is slightly hollower, thou with the mic, its quite worth the money at 89 bucks.



I took Shure. Even thou the M-sized sleeve keeps falling out of my ears. Even thou it does not have a mic nor remote. And even thou its slightly above my 150 bucks budget.

The shiokness is there. Thou comparing it to my previous previous Sony Nudes, seems rather similar.

OK I admit, I'm rather tone-deaf. I actually just need something to block out the foreign jibberish that fills the buses and trains these days. Nudes did that quite well. Shure has yet to isolate the noise totally. Maybe I should change the sleeves to the foam types..

Somehow the pink ones are on discount, and not the black ones. Probably guys don't want something pink sticking out of their ears (they actually peeked out from my hair covered ears even!). But for the same thing, just diff colors, its 10% cheaper!

So I got the pink ones. Not that I'm that into pink. All my pinks are mostly consequences of situational mishaps! The pink nds casing was cos for that type of slim cases, only pink was left; the pink ex-hp was cos the black ones looks too oldish; my pink bedsheets/pink room/pink curtains were from my mum....

Digressed.

They simply don't have white. And black is not on discount.

Shure, now u surely have to perform to what I paid for u. Or I'll jus go back to Sony Nudes the next time round..

*Updates: I made a BIG booboo! *blushes* ok I din wear the earphones as they're supposed to.. i.e. loop the cable around the ears. Little wonder it doesnt fit quite right. HAHA!

Ran 阿密特 thru it. Sounds great thou I still had to adjust the EQ for Spoken Word to get the best out of the vocals.

新参者

Kaga Kyoichiro (Abe Hiroshi) is a shinzanmono of the small Ningyo-cho area, having just transferred to the Nihonbashi police precinct.

A woman, similarly shinzanmono, was murdered in her house. Detective Kaga was roped in to investigate and with his sharp observations and deductive reasoning, rules out the lies of suspects by suspects to reveal the true murderer.


The story plots are pretty touching for some episodes, somewhat different from the normal suspense-detective shows, in that for each episodes, the suspects lied for their own reasons, and Abe uncovers the story behind the lies. Fantastic.

Just that Abe still was not able to uncover the truth behind the queue of the popular ningyoyaki shop..

周杰倫 2010 超時代 演唱會

上一次在新加坡開場時﹐我還是只有3x zoom 的相機。這次終於能拍到比較清晰的照片。。

卻不然。。

難得一求的門票﹐託人買的。位子沒法選﹐離舞台不說很遠﹐但人人站起來時就好像被覆蓋似地什麼也看不到﹐有損興致。

開場的一整段3D畫面﹐利用了一個超大的金字塔呈現。但﹐就僅用了那幾分鐘﹐就被吊上屋頂了。有點浪費。


杰倫登場

一開始音響沒調好似地﹐音樂全蓋過杰倫的聲音。直到第二段才比較好。

門票超貴的原因如下:

1) 特效﹐特效﹐特效!! 一籮筐的特效! 3D﹐煙火全盤出擊!


2) 子弟兵充當特別來賓。還不是一兩個而已。

4) 道具。開場的超大金字塔﹐杰倫出現的球形物體﹐Lara的坐架﹐Cindy的鋼琴﹐投射3D/把杰倫關在裡頭的道具﹐杰倫的專屬鋼琴等等

還好這架鋼琴的出場率頗高。

杰倫還是很杰倫。急性改詞﹐編曲﹐難不倒他。麥克風失靈了。該幾句詞就跳了過去﹐還贏了觀眾。贊!


大大的提字機。有"反正你們也懂我會用﹐倒不如大家一起分享"的態度。無理頭﹐也許也只有他敢做。


一句"在我的演唱會﹐椅子不是拿來坐的﹐是拿來放包包的。。"號令全場站起來。再下台巡迴了一番﹐椅子就成了拿來站的了。很久沒看到這樣的場面了。。


還是很害羞的他﹐手依然規矩地不敢觸碰女舞者的身體。

最最最特別的莫過于他自彈自唱著浪花兄弟的<想你就寫信>﹐第二段時突然變奏﹐巧妙地讓燕姿的<眼淚成詩>續了下去。畫面上是台下與父母同座的燕姿﹐從尷尬的表情﹐到陶醉。是可愛的咯! 杰倫﹐有你的。把燕姿的歌迷也哄了。燕姿這也應該過了一個難忘的生日了吧。。這一段﹐值回了票價!(其他場都沒有)



慶幸沒錯過。。
